Job Title: Servers (Part-Time)

Location: LaMarr Civic Center, Eufaula, AL

Salary: $8.00/hr.

Experience: At least 3 years’ experience

Job Description: Serve food and non-alcoholic drinks to guests at events, parties, and weddings. The responsibilities of this position include serving food, helping set up and break down the event, all while providing excellent customer service to guests. Servers may work in a variety of venues as the location of events to which they are assigned can vary. As such, banquet servers should be available to work on call. It is important to be energetic, friendly, focused, efficient, and interactive with guests. Working well with a team and under the guidance of their manager is also a requirement for all servers.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests as they arrive to the event and directing them to the right table or seat
• Exceptional customer service and hospitality skills
• Friendly to all guests
• Set tables completely according to diagram and/or sample table
• Set buffet stations which may include décor
• Set up tables and chairs in event spaces and the breakdown of event spaces
• Assist with unload/load event trucks, when necessary
• Assist catering company with food delivery, kitchen set-up, and plate preparation
• Serve and clear food and beverage using proper serving and clearing techniques
• Wear company uniform and maintain good grooming and personal hygiene
• Varying schedule to include evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed
• Promptly addressing any customer service issues and referring to management when necessary
• Performing some cleaning duties, such as at the service station, around the kitchen and in the dining area

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of server experience preferred
• Excellent oral communication skills
• Positive interpersonal skills
