Job Title: Sales Associate (Part Time)

Location: LaMarr Civic Center, Eufaula, AL

Salary: $15.00 + Incentives

Experience: At least 5 years’ experience as a Sales Associate

Education: A minimum of a high school diploma

Overall Description:

Our organization is seeking an outgoing, motivated Event Sales Manager to fill our venue calendar. In this role, your primary tasks will involve connecting with potential clients and negotiating their contracts. You will also complete paperwork for the booking that outlines their needs as well as our staffing needs, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable with vendor management and event planning. (This is a performance-based sales position that gives you the opportunity to capitalize on your own success.)

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent and timely customer service
• Manage (and fill) our events calendar
• Determine sales goals
• Build and maintain customer relationships
• Serve as our primary point of contact for large events and parties
• Maintain paperwork for each booking
• Collaborate with vendors
• Collaborate with recruiter and management team to fill additional staffing needs
• Negotiate contracts and assist with accounts receivable
• Work with the marketing team to develop promotional materials
• Develop promotions or specialty packages to entice new customers
• Work closely with the Event Manager and Assistant Event Manager

Skills and qualifications:

• Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Superior organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail
• 1-2 years of sales as it pertains to the hospitality industry
• Motivated, professional with a high degree of integrity and compliance
• Thoroughness in task approach, follow-up & completion;
• Excellent computer skills
• Self-awareness
• Research and interpret relevant information from a range of sources
