Compensation: Negotiated Based on Talent and Experience

Experience: At least 5 years’ experience as an Event Promoter
Education: A minimum of an Associates degree (desired)
Overall Description:
The LaMarr Civic Center is in search of an outgoing, enthusiastic event promoter to join our team. The event promoter's responsibilities include studying the minutiae of scheduled events, generating awareness within our target audience, and upselling. To be successful as an event promoter, you should exhibit excellent networking and sales skills. Ultimately, an outstanding event promoter will possess an existing, active canon of connections.
Event Promoter Responsibilities:
- [Main Responsibility] - Ability to outreach, locate, negotiate, and book talent that individuals would purchase tickets to see.
- Help to organize and channel ticket sales for LCC’s inhouse events
- Familiarize yourself with the relevant details of each event, including scheduling and pricing.
- Establish a network of connections on which you can draw, as needed.
- Use existing and novel informative tools to disseminate event-related details.
- Harness social media and in-person contact to spread awareness about events.
- Encourage attendance at events by using appropriate sales and negotiation techniques.
- Persuade existing clients to upgrade or purchase additional features.
- Develop and implement event promotion strategies
- Work with media outlets to secure event coverage
- Collaborate with event organizers to understand the event and its target audience
Event Promoter Requirements:
- Prior sales, advertising, or marketing experience.
- The capacity to create and distribute engaging, informative resources.
- Excellent public speaking skills.
- Top-notch interpersonal, networking, and negotiation abilities.
- Outstanding research skills.
